Who is Katie Umbaugh?

I am a 24 year old girl from Indiana. Born, raised, and graduated an Indiana University Hoosier, I love Hoosier Basketball. My heart and passion stretches beyond the confines of North America...to other countries, around the world! I have an incurable desire to learn about and immerse myself in different cultures than my own. I heard a quote once that goes something like this... "My soul thirsts for Heaven out of a well in Africa".

  • I was forever scarred when . . .

    My sister was roller-blading with out her helmet on (she was about 5 or 6), in the front of our house. She fell , her head hitting the corner of the bricks lining the bushes. You could almost see her skull. She was rushed to the hospital & 17 stitches later she was ok. But while that was happening I was under the dining room table, crying & praying that my sister would be ok. It scarred me. I hate when my sister's get hurt.
