Who is Rose Durbin?
Rose Durbin Always the optimist but never the fool. My passion is strategy ... in business, politics, and board games. Even though I am often characterized as a private person I enjoy other people and couldn't survive without friends. My husband Tim, is the cook, I am the baker. He is the gardener and yardman, I cultivate the herbs. The best part of any day is sitting in the swing on the back deck watching the sun come up or go down far too soon. I also look forward to tracking the space station and space shuttle in the night sky. I am grateful for the change of seasons but don't believe one should wear a winter coat until after Thanksgiving. Flip Flops are OK all year long. My Blues can be Delta, Chicago or Memphis. Most music should be played loud, really loud. I like empty dark movie theaters in the middle of the afternoon. I'm not into sequels or prequels. I don't mind subtitles. I'm always up for a road trip and I am a good travel buddy. The road less taken or Highway 1A - its all the same to me. To be on the road with no estimated time of arrival is a joy. To be on an isolated two land highway in Montana is contentment and bliss. The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone are my favorite national parks.

I was forever scarred when . . .
While attending Catholic boarding school, my roommates and I shared a bathroom with Sister Mary-Always-Right-About-Everything. Yes a nun was my suitemate. We would often find hand written notes on our bathroom door....What would your mother say if she knew what you are doing? Would you want your children hearing you talk as you do? At seventeen, having kids was far from my mind. And why was she eavesdropping anyway?
