Kraut Lovers of the World Unite!
After years of faithful service SauerkrautRecipes.com needed some Fresh AIR. Through its lifespan, the site had attracted thousands of users and gathered recipes hundreds of kraut-inspired concoctions, but it was time for a major technology overhaul and a shot in the arm creatively that could help the community move past a membership and participation plateau.
After hearing a bit about neuromarketing and reading the SalesBrain book, the website’s proprietor Fremont Foods wanted to see what we were capable of producing. Given our rich history in rebranding and diverse development skillset, SauerkrautRecipies.com was the ideal place to start our relationship together.
The site’s administrators needed to enrich the experience for users and at the same time, reduce the workload on staff to keep content updated and fresh.
Retention of current users was a mandatory as we looked to start fresh and build a new home for the community.
Video content, user administration and featured recipes capabilities were needed to be central to the solution.
From there, it was time to have some fun with concept and design. The team worked to create new branding for the site itself as well as The KrautClub a subsection within the experience. Created with the intention of making user interaction more fun and easy to use, a series of calls to actions and feature call-outs laid the groundwork for an entirely new and approachable voice for the brand.
We got so excited about the work that we approached the client with the idea of developing a line of tshirts for Kraut enthusiasts. They immediately fell in love and let’s us run with it. Using a 3rd party storefront and fulfillment service we were able to launch the new offering with no extra legwork or manpower for the client.
How’s the Kraut?
With the new and improved site launched the community is growing exponentially and traffic is up considerably.
More recipes are added daily and participation from world-class chefs providing video content and tutorials is taking the site experience to new and exciting places!
